Hi,
On my MY14 discovery tyre plaque there are a number of options displayed
235/70R17 111H
255/60R18 112V
255/55R19 111V
255/50R20 109V

175/80R19 122M

Does this mean you can use any of the above tyres on the vehicle or are they just covering all LR cars or at least Discovery models.

Actually it is not accurate!
Both the 17" can't fit at all and the 18" wont fit using the standard alloy rims.

Thanks for the reply.

My question was not clear enough.

I guess what I am asking is "can you fit these tyres and appropriate sized rims to the vehicle ".

You can fit 18' but they are specially manufactured and sold in Australia by GOE.

17's will not fit at all unless you change the front brake rotors & callipers, this has been done.

The plaque must be a catch all as I believe you can buy a coil sprung D4 with 17" wheels brand new in South Africa.

Chuck,
Thanks for that. I thought that may be the case but had to ask.

I will be staying with the original 19" tyres till they wear out as I could not arrange a swap out at the time of purchase of the car. I unfortunately relied on the dealer to help (as indicated before purchase :)).

The decision will then be to go Cooper AT or the like or look at GOE options.

Many thanks for the response,
Rich
