Back from Rampt Customs and I'm a happy chappy.

The photos attached aren't the best to show off the sliders but truth be told a full side shot doesn't do them wonders for looks as my rear bar is sorta not on the car, only the skeleton which uglys it up a bit.

Happy with the flex. Rear left tucked up well. Rear right just lifting. Front hasn't got full flex but the front bag was fairly extended so sorta hoping it was within an inch or two of lifting for the sake of the bags.

Benji was surprised I got that far up the ramp which is always good when you see his classic with like 16 inch shocks in the rear that come up under his rear seats.

Anyway, the sliders look great in person. Haven't got a great shot yet but will sometime.

Nice climb up the ramp! Also impressed with the rear muffler ;). Seriously though Peter, looking good with the new sliders.

Yeh, the sliders look great. And the sit clise to the sills, so your losing hardly any clearance, unlike some.

Thanks guys. Yeh I'm thinking that sway bar disconnect (just one side I'm thinking) might have helped the front sit on the bump stop and maybe have gone a little further up the ramp. But still happy.

Apart from showing off, it was more to check that the bags weren't over extending before heading bush. I could see the crimp rings and the rubber was only just bellowing so I wouldn't go any less than my 30mm spacers on front or rear with the terrafirma for safety sake.

The long story to the rear muffler.. Took rear bar off for the tow bar. Then thought the rear bar plastic was a little split, flared out on one side and tacky due to getting caught on rocks and trees. So I removed the plastic part then realised how big and ugly that rear muffler was. So easy job was to cut it off with a Saber Saw... And the extension/tail pipe or hot dog haven't quite gone on yet... Until I get a rear bar eventually. Maybe I put a 4 inch tip on it in the mean time ha ha.

Yeh I rate the job he did on them. He definitely has a passion for doing a good job of things. They really hug tight (angled up a little which looks and works well) and doubt they'll flex judging by them not moving at all when jumping on them.

I've got a straight pipe on the rear of mine. It doesn't drone at all, and above 2800 had a nice bark to it.

Agree it doesn't drone. Definitely a v8 now but with the Windows up its fine on the highway. My fully sick Australian made/legal exhaust on my 200sx droned so much more and that got annoying on trips.

Went up to Lithgow yesterday and the sliders are still like new. No scratches but came close a few times.

Poor quality video and not giving the steepness much justice either.

Many other videos on YouTube of same climb that involves a few attempts. P38 straight up with only two spots of minor wheel spin.

Proud moment for Range Rover with a small audience, as the following Toyota had difficulty and 2 others turned around.

Cheers guys. Yeh minimal momentum needed which is the style I like and the sliders still look new. Was a short and sweet track though. Probably should have done it both ways.

I should have been wearing a full brimmed Range Rover hat while I cruised on up there ha ha.

Next video will likely show off the flex a little more, well actually show something and be nice and clear ;)

Have ordered some front disconnects so I can take advantage of the longer shocks in the front a bit more, not that that climb needed much flex

Idea came from a few others before me. Slight mods to length mainly but doesn't seem too much. They weren't cheap though... $190 for 2 :o

If not changing the length you'd probably get away with sharing a pair with someone as I think we'll get away with only one side disconnected.

I had contemplated modifying the original ones... But decided not to. These can be adjusted for the lift as well.
