Anyone know the length of the standard front shock absorbers when fully compressed/closed?

Bilstein BE5-6046-HO which AFAIK are 'standard length' are 575mm open and 375mm closed.

Lucky for you I still have the old original shocks off the Disco..

Measurement from middle top eye to lower face of bottom pin.

Extended = 583mm

Compressed = 375mm
