Horn when unlocking!

Hi all, I'm Ritz. Just been using new Freelander 2 (HSE) for 10 months now. Recently, when I pressed the unlock button on the smartkey, the car responded with a double horn. Don't know how this happened, it wasn't like this when I first bought the car. Can anyone help me to deactivate this? Or is there a problem with my FL? Thanks heaps!

The car beeps twice everytime I pressed the unlock button on the smartkey, as the car is being unlocked. Annoying, especially at night when it's quiet.

Have you checked the handbook?
I seem to recall some Land Rovers gave an indication of a weak remote battery this way.

I've checked the handbook, nothing in there about it. Called the dealership they didn't know it either and advised me to send in the car so they can look at it. I'm sending it next weekend, no choice.

I too think it might be the battery in the remote.
