Will D4 alternator work in 2005 TDV6

[TDV6]

Mine just died, so looking for replacement that has less likley-hood of premature death.

I think the D4 has more output but dont know if electronics will work with whats in my 2005 D3 TDV6.

I am also looking at a Jaylec alternator, but am yet to find a model number or supplier.
