I have recently had a rear wheel carrier on the D3. "Of course" the rear parking sensor is now always sensing the rear wheel in in it's line of vision. I am sure there is a well tried "fix" but what is it? Ive tried blanking out one or two of the sensors but with no result. Is it as crude as simply disconnecting them or is there another fix that allows the sensors to still sense? cheers

Sensors may be able to be rotated.

A search of AULRO will reveal.

I have had little success, other than blanking the drivers side inner sensor....and it still occasionally plays up.

It's a bit hit and miss from the experience of others.

The D3 I bought has a rear wheel carrier and kaymar bar, the sensor goes a bit nuts sometimes but works fine too on other occasions. I should rotate it has been rotated I think but I wonder whether the vibrations of the carrier have moved it. Not too worried about it. The thing you have to remember is that the bar is not the first thing to contact anything when reversing anyway!!

I've had mine disconnected, with the RWC and a Mitch hitch it was more hassle than it was worth to try and fix it. As discotwinturbo says do a search and you will find all the myriad things people have tried, some with success some without. I think if you have a lot of patience and time to fiddle you will probably be able to find something that works.
