Discovery 4 Crossbar Options?

Hi,

I have the LR rails installed on my D4 so am now considering what options I have for cross bars. I have a rhino mesh platform, from a previous car I would like to use.

There seems to be mention in the forum that not all bars are suitable if you have a glass roof. I have a sun roof so that probably puts me in the category.

Obviously one option are the original bars, just looking at other options.

I had the Vortex RLT500-RTS roof rack system on my D4 with the roof basket, worked fine, if you have a sunroof, put the bars at the rear of the roof, lots of guys on here have them at the rear, if you have a rear door ladder, makes for easy access.

There are actually 3 sunroofs in the car back middle and front

I only asked for one 😁

That is how they come

Only the one in he front opens though

I will check out the rhino gear

they are an aftermarket copy of the land rover ones.
give hem a call and ask how much for just the crossbars.
at $469 for full length rails and crossbars, it's a lot cheaper than the $1500
I got quoted from the dealer when I bought my D4 in 2011.

$1500 sounds over the top for just the rails, or did this include cross bars. $780 - 800 sounds about right for the 2 rails.

It included the crossbars. We ended up getting rails and crossbars thrown in with the purchase.
