Hi all, just about ready to pull the trigger on a new TDV6 and the sales person mentioned if I ordered a new factory build it would likely fall into the June builds which is the start of the MY15 vehicles.
Anyone know what, if anything, is changing from MY14 to MY15? If I order in the next couple of weeks, I'll get in before the MY15 price rise too apparently.
Went to have a look at a Scotia Grey disco today. Wow, what a beautiful colour!

I have not heard of any I could be wrong. I think you'll find all the updates were done in the new MY14 models so I don't think there is much they will be changing. You can sometimes end up going crazy I'll wait for this update then I hear there's another one and you've wasted ages trying to get the latest haha. That grey one looks a great if you get it for a good price hook in it will be only cosmetic if any changes at all. But you'll still love your rig they always put a smile on your face every drive!!

it would likely fall into the June builds which is the start of the MY15 vehicles. That would be an unusually early start to the next MY. August or September is more the norm.

Hi Nat, going to order a new one anyway, to get the combo of options I'd like so if it happens to end up being the MY15, then all the better. If not, doesn't really worry me.
Just wondering whether anyone had heard about possible MY15 updates, however minor.

Hey Discofan,
Exactly where i left it on Friday.....:p
We won't hear much until the Factory closes for the production run & normally that is the end of June, early July & production normally starts around August (Tho' previous 2yrs production has been starting early as production World Wide has increased substantially)
Good Luck.
P.S. Who have you been dealing with?

Hi Sniegy, spoke to Penny today, although will probably deal with your Fleet Manager when I decide to go ahead.
Thanks for the heads up about you guys having a Scotia Grey too. Made my decision a lot easier.

Ahh no worries mate sounds like a good plan if i wasn't so impatient i probably would have ordered one to, but seeing as though i got a HSE the options were not really a worry if they had it great if not ehh no worry, it came with ediff and elect steering column so all good.
The main thing i look at is the rego sticker mine is complied 13 even though i picked it up end of Jan 14 which peeved me i wanted a 14 rego sticker but ahwell not to worry ill probably order a new one later this year or try and get a new limited edition model when they come out soon.

For the sake of a couple of months I would wait, only because an MY15 D4 will probably be worth a bit more than a MY14 in the same year.
Otherwise they will be nearly identical.
In 5 or 6 years time when I will probably go looking for the last of the D4s I'd like a rear diff lock. Can you make sure you get this option. Thanks. ;)

Remember there being some talk about the USB sockets moving to the glovebox from cubby box, on preparation for MY15 - something about installing InControl apps
Be interesting to know when the dealers get there MY15 product brief...

I wonder when they'll be bringing out a wireless charging pad on the dash. Wires around the place are annoying.

Knew I'd read it someone ... Direct from the 2014MY discovery product brief ...
Relocation of the Audio Interface Panel
In preparation for the introduction of Connect & View on Discovery at 15MY, the Audio Interface Panel (Aux-in and Single USB & Scroll Control iPodĀ® Connectivity port) has been relocated from the central cubby box to the upper glove box, to protect the cooler box and central cubby box capacity when Connect & View will be fitted.

So can anyone confirm June builds will be MY15 spec or not? No one I've talked to seems to know....

My understanding from when I last ordered a new Disco. Using 2014 for the example, the last MY14 rolls off the production line in June. July the factory stops production, retools and starts manufacturing again in August producing the MY15 models.
In June 2012 I ordered an MY13 HSE. Come 30 January I cancelled the order due to being promised delivery before the new year and the dealer revising the delivery date to March. It was a significant retool that year so hopefully you wont be faced with that sort of wait but be prepared for more than 4 months if ordering in May.

Hi Jimlr
The other week I was at the dealer getting some information about our MY14 which should arrive shortly...I hope, but anyway, they had a MY14 on the lot, so I had a general look around & the USB interface was in the glovebox & not the
central cubby box, don't know if that helps you at all.

Here we go, more news:

Looks like starting with September uk deliveries, therefore am guessing builds post the factory summer shutdown (late July - August normally) will be MY15 spec.
Not much change. 4 new colours, a new wheel option, a new interior colour option, new steering wheel option....and addition of InControl Apps confirmed.

Interesting on the new MY15 colours that Luxor, Ipanema Sand, and Nara Bronze making way for Aruba, Kaikora Stone and Montalcino Red. Luxor didn't last long, and therefore goes down in history as a MY14 only special !!

The introduction of start/stop technology would have me worried. Our VW Passat has it, and it's annoying - to the point it will stop me from buying any other car with it in future.

Yes, you can turn it off, but it defaults to "on" every time you start the car, and that's one more button to press before you actually go anywhere.

I know it will become increasingly difficult to get a new car without stop/start, but in my mind that just makes my current Disco all the more worthwhile hanging on to.

In the loan cars I have had, I have had no issue with the stop start. I just change my driving style slightly in heavy traffic.
Hybrid makes it more comfortable.
We just have to get used to it....it's not going to go away with emission reductions needed.

Re start stop, 1st world problems really! Lol City stop start driving, turn it off, long distance or less traffic keep it on. I actually like it, sitting at the lights and it is so much quieter but yes it's annoying when your in traffic and need to creep.

Was behind a very new shaguar in the city last time I was up there to take Deb to hospital appointments.
He was holding traffic up every light change.
Got beside him and worked it out.He was busy texting and didnt see the light changes, then had to wait for the shaguar to get its **** together:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I wonder if the apps will be available as a software update for the MY14 models?
