I believe its pretty goo, i think we have started trialling it here onsite.

I have been using it for the last 3 or 4 years,I use it instead of insulation tape and carry a role in all my vehicles for emergency use.I also use it on my air filter where the lid joins the body,as a seal against water ingress.It is expensive but worth it in my view.
I just topped up my supply on Friday from the Camping show at Rosehill,3 rolls of the normal 25mm tape and a roll of the 50mm .

I haven't personally,but I do know someone that has.I did repair my garden hose though:D
And I did stop an air leak from a locker airline that had a hole in it,until I replaced the line a few months later

is it as good as it claims? usually.

do youself a favor, buy a roll to play with, once you know how its pretty good, thinking you can just unwrap your first roll and make a perfect oring first time when you need it most in the worst conditions and racing a tide or timetable is a mistake

I used some on a split top hose and it held together fine. I drove it like that for a couple of weeks until I got around to buying a new one. I always carry a couple of rolls, just in case.

I used the stuff to repair a radiator hose in my old kombi which had a v6 Commodore engine it hose was rubbing on engine and burst going down highway
Tape fixed it till I got home and replaced it with a metal pipe was glad I had just bought a couple cartons of water
So can't say how good it is long term but if it just needed to get home to repair it no problem

Dad bought a few rolls a while ago, at a 4WD show down here.

Seems to be a bit hit and miss. When it works, it works great. Sometimes we found that it just wouldn't take, or bond.

Maybe we just had a dud roll.

Worth grabbing a couple, just in case.

If you're proposing to use it to repair a radiator hose, first wrap two layers of water proof cloth -based gaffa tape around the split then wrap two or three tight layers of rescue tape over the gaffa tape, ensuring you cover the ends. The gaffa tape is for mechanical strength while the rescue tape seals it... ? or, check and replace radiator hose before the trip:angel::wasntme:

It's very good for sealing electrical cables in the engine bay... esp. between the end of the terminal and the wire outer insulation, for example, if heat shrink tubing isn't available or won't fit...

I have just used the stuff to fix my cooling system. Expansion tank cap has a slight leak in it so wrapped it around cap where it meets the bottle and all sealed again until I get a new one tomorrow. Sure I probably could drive around like this for awhile but filling coolant level could become an issue and a new cap is only about $15
