G'day guys,

Do any of you use the Dolium/Front Runner Roof Net or maybe the MUD Multinet in the rear of your 110?

I'm keen to get something that will sit up high and take soft goods without sagging too much and blocking visibility.

The MUD one looks like it would sag a lot, and the Front Runner version looks more sturdy but I can't see how it would be easily fitted.

I know quite a few here have rigged up rigid platforms of various descriptions, but I'm not interested in that at this stage.

Any advice and/or photos would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

James

Hi James
I've used the doulim cargo net The net itself is well made and strong enough but the only
Way I can fit it in my defa 110 is to cable tie it to the cargo barrier
And then to the grab handles at the rear door
And once I've finished with it I just cut the ties
Hope this helps

Mudstuff multinet sags a fair bit with load - not a criticism, just the fact that it's a light weight elastic type net, rather than a webbing style net. I've got one and use it for hats, jumpers, etc for anything more than that I'd fit something different.
Hope this helps.

I have one and tie to rear passenger grab handles and have riveted eyelets to the rear plastic trim near the rear doors, mine is frontrunner, works great

Thanks guys,
Short of making a net myself out of some webbing I think the Dolium version is the way to go.
But I definitely won't be buying anything without trying it out in store first.
Thanks for your time gents.

I bought a webbing type one from Opposite Lock. Roof Net - Small | Storage accessories | Opposite Lock (http://www.oppositelock.com.au/catalogue/storage-accessories/18160) Roof Net - Large | Storage accessories | Opposite Lock (http://www.oppositelock.com.au/catalogue/storage-accessories/18161)
I mostly use it as a cargo net on the floor but it comes with brackets to screw/rivet onto the body to use as a suspended net.
The amount of sag would depend on getting the fore and aft brackets the correct (minimum) distance apart, the rest can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the webbing straps.

The one I bought was the small, to use in the rear cargo area of my D4, but the construction looks more like the large one in the images. (maybe theres been a model change)
