The Wife & I went to see the movie, "the grand Budapest hotel" . A movie hard to come to grips with. Sort of a cross between laugh in and Monty Python, but a lot more subtle. Just when you think you would rather be some where else, something happens to grab your attention. The wash up ? it was just a lot of fun, and mickey taking. And, I think , very European.[ most of the actors were not. ] I actually enjoyed it. Eurovision? A lot of fun, some mickey taking, very European. A bearded woman [ man?] won it. From Austria. Europeans are funny cattle. But, I think I get It. They have a refined sense of humour. Or , are slightly mad. Either way, it appeals to my slightly warped sense of humour. Bob :D

I think the 'permanent members' of Euro are Britain, Spain, Germany and France, Austria and Sweden (ABBA were born on Euro) may be on there as well. Not exactly 'Eastern Europeans'
Interesting thing was that all of the other nations wanted the drag queen banned and yet he won by a landslide! He actually does have a pretty decent voice..... at least better than many on the current crop of crap on The Voice etc.
His beard is his gimic and he's apparently made huge $$$$ in Europe over the last 5 years.
I do agree that the entire competition is a joke, but it's no better or worse than the crap we have served up to us in Aus these days.

I was referring to how daggy the eastern European countries are and what they think is style and music - this euro trash is way worse then we see here.
