I agree, what is the world coming to. Pretty soon we won't be allowed to do anything fun.

If by your statement you mean "being a dickhead in appropriate locations" then yes, you are correct :p

Doubt I'll have that issue in the 101... (being able to loose control by using too much throttle):D

Tombie, I dont' agree that people should drive like morons.... just that everything we do seems to have someone looking over our shoulder.

I actually think that it's sorta good that insurance isn't paying out on these idiots because I really don't/can't afford to pay insurance for some other cashed up bogan that thinks he's a race driver to claim when he stuffs up. Keeps my insurance bill smaller - well one would hope I guess.

If you've got nothing to hide I spose it doesn't really matter.
They've been able to track and shut down stolen cars on the move for over 20yrs now, so probably know how fast
these particular cars are going also.
I had a bike up until recently that stored trip max and average speed along with running time etc. I also was a we bit concerned ( hypothetically ) speaking if I had been acting like a dickhead considering that if I dumped it before clearing the data I could be shooting myself in the foot if the plod checked my trip computer while I am being scraped up of the road.
Cant complain about a speeding ticket if you are speeding.
Wait until all cars have gps tracking devices and you simply get a fine email to your smart phone and the funds automatically withdrawn from your account and points deducted off your licence ,

Do you ever get an itch on the back of your neck ; that's the micro chip.

I am surprised the cops do not use it more often in crashes ever since air bag controllers have been in vehicles there has been the option to down load the info from them

I wonder how they access the data in your property, a search warrant or the fine print of the contract.

Once you crash and claim, they have the rights to inspect what they cover...
