Has anyone successfully loaded their own POI file into a late model D4 nav system, as I understand its possible with a .gpx file loaded via the USB socket from MY13 onwards, as possibly earlier cars with a software update.
It would be good to have speed cameras and red light cameras etc loaded into the car.
But how to do it, and any suggestions as to where to source appropriate files for each state??

Yes it should be possible, there are many tools on the WWW that allow you to convert from one file format to another & many web sites that provide you camera hot spots for Oz developed by those enthusiast involved.
You just need to search the www, have a go - you will be surprised what you will learn.
I have not done it for the Discovery Sat Nav, but have for other brands of GPS.

Yeah, I've done it. It was pretty straightforward.
There is a good thread on it on the Disco4 site:

Poidb.com ?
It's a site where you can download "Safety Camera" locations to upload in your GPS / SatNav. Also has many other collections, I.e. BCF, KFC etc.
