Hi all.
My first post here in the Defender section, so please be gentle!
Seen a couple of photos of people installing switches in Puma's in the panel/dash area of the centre console, similar to this post:

How easy is it to remove that bit of dash/fascia, as I'd also like to mount my ARB air compressor in my own 110 there soon.
Any pics/tips/references anyone can point me in the right direction of please?
Thanks in advance....

Undo the two obvious torx screws and lever the fascia out (with a couple of butter knifes) - done!

Are you saying you would like to mount your air compressor behind the dash?

Air compressor would go under the driver's seat wouldn't it?
I think he's just referring to the switch for it.

The fascia isn't hard to get out, but unless you unclip the cable from the vent control the space is a bit tight, it's a bit of a task to get everything reconnected once your ready to put it back together. The back of the panels either side are reienforced with 20mm deep ribs running diagonally. Have a plan to clean these up around your cutout, I use a dremel with a cutting disc on it to undercut the ribs, then use side cutters, this can all be done from the front . You can get the LR switches if you have some spare spaces this is a lot easier to mount and keeps the look, but they cost a bit more than loose change

You would hope so, an air compressor behind the dash might be a bit tight....

And the front of the ex-box is where I mounted my switch. Much easier to run and out of sight so no need to match the other switches on the fascia.

And I had no idea, sounds like it's pretty different to my '96 110. I'd like to have a close look through a puma one day!!
