Looking at the frontline machinery site today and when looking at vehicles(6x6), at the bottom it shows what looks like a wide body 6x6 dual cab. I have read lots about military LR but never come across these before. We're there many built and can anyone point me in the direction of more photos. It is an awesome truck.

Hi, yes there are some dual cabs but very few, maybe less than 10. Go to REMLR.com and navigate to the perentie section
Cheers

Thanks for that. I have a civvy 130 with subtle military overtones. I went to remlr, I hadn't been there for a while. It has changed. Lots more info and easy to navigate. Looks like Ill be lost for hours once again looking at Landrover " porn" cheers:D:D

From memory they made more than twenty dual cab 6x6's. I wouldn't know how many were still in service or available for disposal though. Maybe ask Barefoot Dave or one of the other more knowledgeable members. If I had the money (and room to store it) they would be my pick of the 6x6's.

With that dual cab being at Frontline, does that mean it's now in civvy street. Do you think more will come?

I think the 6x6 dual cabs will be the most sought after Perenties. Prepare for some spirited bidding.
On the other hand, if everybody believes this and stays away, some bargains shall be picked up.
I'm tipping the first one will be the cheapest.

G'day!
The AFM crew cab is still there. I'd expect it to do a bit of promo work before it is sold.
26 crew cabs were delivered to defence. Mostly used to lug the Parakeet sat trunk system about. There is no replacement Benz for this role yet, so don't expect many anytime soon.
The second row seats are approx 200mm (8") higher than the fronts.
I would expect to pay a premium for a 'real man sized' dual cab ute with 2tonne payload. An equivelant F series or Tundra would cost well over $100 big ones!

Thanks for the info. I just love talking about and looking at ex army rovers, and if they are dual cabs ,well!!!!!!! I call it " genetic Landrover sickness ", or just " the sickness ".Its incureable but I don't want to be cured.Ive restored my 68 2a and I think I need to add to the fleet.

I spotted and photographed a 6x6 dual cab at the Minto workshop - the photo is on REMLR. If I remember, next time I'm there I'll ask Dave the AFM mechanic what they're doing with it. The staff at Minto are a friendly bunch, and very helpful.
