I decided I needed a drink last night so off to the local bottle shop in Belgrave. I parked the Disco got out and climbed the steps from the road up to the footpath and walked into the entrance of the grog shop. By the time I put one foot into the doorway, I was wobbly, my head started to spin, I staggered and was not in a good way. The sudden climbing of the steps had caused my blood pressure to drop and the effects were as if I was drunk. I could see the look on the guy's face behind the counter, we was thinking I had too much to drink and was getting refills.
It took me a little longer to get over this than usual. After a few minutes I was ok and drove home, and there was a road Side breath test going on. I was totally sober.

Lay off the Aspro's for a while and go see the quack before the price goes up and you go down.

I am on a prescription that can do that to me at times. I can get a little light headed if I stand up after squatting or lying down. Sometimes clearing my head takes a few minutes in which it is necessary to sit down or stay very still. The way in which he is aware that it is a low blood pressure problem would suggest that he is aware of the problem already. Not saying that it is not something that his Doctor shouldn't know about, just suggesting that maybe he and his Doctor are already managing the problem.
Cheers,
Tom.

I occasionally have the same problem. In my case, from one extreme to the other. I'm on medication for high blood pressure - but occasionally for no apparent reason, BP drops to the point where I will black out if I don't "catch it" in time. Last time, was sitting at desk in the office. By "catching it" - I mean that usual remedy is to lie down immediately.
Have spoken with doctors many times about it - I even once had one of these low BP spells in a doctor's waiting room and collapsed there when I got up to walk into his consulting room.
No doctor that I have spoken with has ever been able to offer an explanation, or a "cure" for the problem. They tell me that it is something that "just happens" to quite a lot of people.

I had a similar thing a couple of years ago, went to hospital straight away to get checked out.
After a visit to the doctor we worked out that a blockage in the ear canal caused a massive inbalance! The worst feeling was lying down under the Landrover. Head would just go into a spin.
Hope your problem is as simple as mine.
Pete.

People with these sorts of problems should not be driving. I had a severe medical problem earlier this year and one of the side effects was dizzy spells and a loss of balance to the point if I couldn't find something to hold on to, I would fall flat on my bum. My cook said it was just like watching me come home from the football totally ****ed. My GP told me I was not to drive until he said so. He also said if this continued he was obliged to notify the Transport Dept. who would suspend my licence. Think on this, if you are driving and have an incident and map out some poor bastard who was using the road and minding their own business, then you go to gaol for a long time.

Some of your are aware that I am on pretty heavy dosage of antidepressants and one of the symptoms is don't elevate myself too quickly, I'm seeing doc tomorrow ...... another side effect of the medication, I hurt myself in my sleep and threw my right leg out sideways in a powerful involuntary karate kick. Hasn't healed in 12 weeks so just had a hip xray and ultrasound done. Heather says I punch and kick during the night , I grab her hair or start screaming at some one. I've fallen out of bed during my sleep
I have spoken to specialist about this and he just increased the dosage to sedate me further.More is better he says, less and I would be worse off. Just par for the course on the drugs I'm on.:(
