Just watched Wolf Creek 2 and felt disgusted!
Yes, I don’t have much experience with the outback, but whatever I experienced, the people there were always kind and ready to help, and they were nothing like the monsters depicted in the picture. Shame on the filmmakers!

You do know it is a fictional horror movie and not a documentary don't you?

Yes, I am aware of that. My point is the filmmakers don't have the right to exploit the reality for cheap sensation in order to sell their fictional horror movie.

You don't watch a lot of movies do you?

But seriously, I know what you mean but there are a hundred thousand towns and countries and regions which could say that about a movie which was made involving them.

Are you telling me I should be upset because The Hallelujah Mountains (Na'vi name: Ayram alusìng) (aka the floating mountains of Pandora) aren't a real place?

How can you call Mick a monster?
That's a personal attack, that is.

I can think of a few people here who are probably only a few steps away from re-enacting those movies.

I thought the first one was a fantastic movie. My wife is Japanese and she also loved it.

We will be going to Wolf Creek Crater next month or so and I can't wait to disconnect the battery and scare the bejesus out of her.

2 on the other hand I thought was just OK the first time I watched it but thought it was absolute rubbish the second time.

John Jarrat was reported to where the same jacket for the filming and not shower for the first Wolf Creek. It is reported he bacame a little too much into the character and actually became scary to the film crew.

In the second Wolf Creek, it is depicted to happen at Wolf Creek Crater in WA but the magority of the filming was done in SA. The scenery just doesn't add up at all. There are stuff all sheep near Wolf Creek Crater. Mike (John Jarret) always wears a brand new red cheque flanel (not scary at all). I know it's only a Jeep but what Jeep Wrangler gets out accelerated by an old semi trailer with a stock crate on the back. And what's with the old couple on the property? They take in some random guy but Mike turns up and they meet him with a shot gun without even knowing what has gone on.

Wolf Creek 2 is just rubbish and I only watched it becasue the first one was so good. I think many did the same.

Happy Days.

You are right Disco Muppet - I should try harder to become more Australian. It's just that I can't get rid of my romantic eye.
