I got told years ago that a version of this "technology" has been used for years at the Castlemain Brewery in Queensland.

Don't know if the "peptides" on the frogs' skin have any impact on the brewing process - but the "frog pee" is what gives XXXX beer its unique flavor .............. :p

I believe they use cane toads. The super peptides they give off, is what gives the Qld State of Origin team it's vastly superior strength, as opposed to the café lattes used by the other mob, Bob :D

I would be frightened to drink that milk in case I croaked it .

If it was in France, the frog wouldn't have a leg to stand on, Bob

I thought a frog only went off in a sock.

Actually its an interesting subject.

The main, more common use of this procedure ceased around the 1800's when when influenza swept the globe killing so many..

If you became sick you were immediately isolated and obviously no more milk or any other daily products...

and all of this could be a false alarm after having milk preserved this way...

just because you get a frog in your throat...

OK sorry, but honestly from me would you expect more?? :p

Put a frog in a bucket of milk to stop it going off? I didn't realise that milk had any frog preserving qualities.

I'm glad I've learnt that though, because up to now I've had to eat my frogs slightly mouldy.
