Oh, how I would love to own one of these.
Jaguar are reportedly intending building 6 only lightweight E Type Jaguars to their original specifications. Apparently the original production run terminated early.

I read the article and suspect the 114kg/250lb is the saving over a standard model.

My uncle had the original for years,will have to dig out a pic.

Gets me thinking,after the deefer is retired,i wonder if it will reappear in a limited edition?

But then there are the emission & safety regs,etc, that may cause issues.

Well yeah, I would say at the price they would be going for, they would be snapped up for exhibition purposes only.

Don't laugh!

When I was in Narrabri in the 70s, there was an E Type in a friend's repair shop for some repairs underneath.

The owner had hit a stump driving through long grass in his paddock. :eek:

Built for racing, not road going. Unless the roads are in China where there is plenty of dosh but no emission standard.
