Hi All,
I had one of the early Nanocoms for my TD5 and now that I've just purchased an SDV6 D4, I'm wondering what people recommend.
Really looking for something to give me answers if I have dramas a long way from a dealer.

Was any decision reached regarding the Diag tool to use?

We have the Faultmate, with the multi-car licence, well that's what we thought we bought(extra money) it does it all, clears faults, turns things on and off, what ever you, just takes a little research before you attempt these things though.
Money is the deciding factor Will, both Hawkeye and Faultmate have tools to do what you want, either just reading or clearing faults, to doing nearly anything, just depends on what you want to do and how much you're willing to spend;)
Either will be good.
Which reminds me, need to contact BBS about the multi-car licence, to see why we can't do other cars, tried to clear and read some faults off another vehicle a few weeks ago and we couldn't do it.

G'day Will,
After reading lots of threads, I came to the conclusion IIDtool seems one of the more popular options.
Then i stumbled on a pretty good deal through LROCV on a Nanocom and having used the older Nanocom on the D2 I decided to give that a try.
I think this is one of those things there are probably 3-4 different right answers... ;)
