Today while making a few highway trips, I got a "Suspension Fault" warning come up on the dash. The warning came on about five or ten minutes after starting the trip. I did NOT see any other information (eg like "normal height only" which I've seen a few people mention in connection with suspension faults). Since the car otherwise felt fine, I continued driving. Once I stopped and restarted, the fault was initially cleared but appeared again after about 5-10 minutes.

Tonight at home I plugged in my IIDTool and it found:
- one fault with the Suspension module "C1130-66(68) Frequent level activity in the up direction or unable to lift"
- one fault in the Instrument Pack module "U0132-87(2E) Lost communication with ride level control module"

Some possibly related information:
- I've noticed over the past few months that the front suspensions would drop down to the bump stops if parked overnight. I figured it was a slow leak in the airlines or valves etc and knew I would have to get it looked at at some stage.
- When the vehicle was in for its last service about a month ago, the service dept advised me that there was an outstanding recall on the air compressor, and they replaced the compressor with the new upgraded design for free.

So, any suggestions what this error is caused by ? Is it likely to be due to the apparent slow leak in the front suspension, or could it be related to the replacement of the air compressor ??

See what faults get stored after you've cleared the existing ones in case they're old.

Thanks Graeme. I just checked and the Suspension module fault occurred when the first warning appeared on the dash.

Is there any value in leaving the fault as-is rather than clearing it ? Are the LR service guys likely to be able to get any more detailed information from it ?

Make sure you take a note of the fault or take photos of them before you clear them.
