Hi Everyone, I suppose heaps of us on here will be eager to see the first State of Origin Match of 2014. So I'd thought I'd ask, does your Landy reflect your team? I'll leave it open to other sports as well.

Here's mine, needs some XXXX logos on it, but the colour is right :D

This is more profound than you might realise!
Following the general tales of woe in other threads about catastrophic failures of auto transmissions (with the TDV6 engine etc), rear diff bearings in FL2s, and so on, one might, just might speculate that LR has a predeliction for Queensland ...some of their design decisions are destined to leave unlucky customers "marooned":wasntme:

On a related topic: being of an age where a liesurely cup of tea/coffee on the back deck mid-afternoon is de rigeur my usual survey of the city and surrounds from an elevated position which takes in the XXXX Brewry, and that monstrosity named "Suncorp" Stadium, (this week at least) today I espied figues in hi-vis vests wandering around the roof of said stadium laying out small packages around the roof top and uncoiling what appears to be wire. Closer inspection through the binoculars confirmed this..
I can only express the forlorn hope, along with many other long suffering residents who were here years prior to its establishment, that they are preparing to demolish it and convert it to a parkland:twisted: I live for the day!

As I don't follow any sport and couldn't care less about the State of Origin nor who wins, does that apply to all P38A owners?

It's why I have a black P38a... sort of sums up my mood about the low IQ of so-called "fans" who invade the local area on such nights...
I have edited this post because I thought better of it...

It's why I have a black P38a... sort of sums up my mood about the low IQ of so-called "fans" who invade the local area on such nights... trails of urination, defacation, smashed bottles, busted wheelie bins, loud mouthed profanities until the ealry hours of the morning ...the list goes on.

Then we also see the local rag stirring up the "hate speech"...why "we hate" the Blues etc etc. Firstly who's "We"?

I fail to see how wally lewis can call out Paul Gallen for "disrespecting " Qld ...question: who/what is there to "respect" in any of this alcohol fuelled BS. Oh I forgot , Wally is fuelled by XXXX.

end of rant... I'm glad the rest of the games are elsewhere... ;):wasntme:

Bah humbug. Is that the Blues fans?
Seriously I do know what you mean about the problems of living near a sports venue.

One of the reasons we moved from Penrith 30 years ago was because the Penrith Panthers planned to build a stadium behind us. It never happened.

I have a bit of a problem! My Defender is Cairns Blue, but has QLD Plates.

A bit like my 13 yo Son, who's girlfriend in class moved here from Sydney. Who does he barrack for?? I advised him to either not gloat, or be supportive. Turns out he needed to be supportive :(

Cheers,

Ken

I moved to Qld in 91, i explained to my neighbor i was loving it, just like Melbourne in the 70's :wasntme:

Mainly based on milk still being delivered in Milk Bottles to the door.

My brother got on the **** with Artie Beetson once (in Cairns), the bar was shocked he had never heard of him, (being from the deep south).
