Hi guys, are the swivel hubs on a defender similar to those on a Series 3?
And are the front sway bar bushes difficult to do?

[I've rebuilt S3 stuff, but haven't played with Defenders... so I thought I'd ask here as a starting point!]

From memory, S3's had a railco bush in the swivel hub. Defenders have bearings top and bottom. Not that hard to overhaul/replace.

Front sway bar ? If you mean panhard or tie-rods, then similar to that on S3's

What year Defender? My County has Railko top bushes, not sure when they went to bearing top. If its an early Defender, you'll likely know the deal already.
Also, later Defender wheel bearings have a single use stake nut and bearing spacer rather than the lock washers and torquing to suit end float that earlier stuff has.

It's a 2006 model. I've rebuilt Railko style ones on my SIII, and converted my SI to Railko, so I'm pretty familiar with the older ones, I've just never looked at defender ones before, so long as they are similar-ish, I should be OK!

As for 'front sway bar bushes', I'm not even sure what they are! Tie-rods I understand, and have changed... But I was hoping someone here would know what they were referring to...
