Just placed my regular order for a kilo of green bugs, and a kilo of green ocean Kings. Monthly order. Wherever you buy your sea food from, make sure it is Australian caught, & processed . Mine come from the Shorncliffe locals. Bob

You still in the Prawn game Ean? I fly back and forth to Darwin a fair bit, wouldn't mind buying a kilo or two in season. Takes me back to my Prawn spotting days. Did two years (seasons) for Raptis in the Gulf.
And getting them home is fine - no airline restrictions for me! :p

Off the trawler or the coop?

Off the trawler or the coop?
Trawler, Saturday morning early. [ they actually sell from a little tent set up , just off the wharf] All depends on the phase of the moon, & the weather. He wont go out if he can't guarantee to catch enough to make money, what with fuel, etc. You leave your phone No. & his missus rings with a yea or nay. Get there early, they open at 9, sometimes sold out by 11. Their selling point is none of their product has been frozen, Bob
[edit]Our co-op closed down under, shall we say, suspicious circumstances, and the money is said to be on holiday overseas. The trawlers have permission to sell from the shore, opposite their boats. The local member for BCC actually went in the local paper, asking people to support the local fishermen. Not many boats left, a lot of licences bought back when they formed the " green" zones. Bob
