Dolium bonnet spare mount

Hi there,
Anyone using this type spare wheel mount on a 98 Defer.I have 3ml chequer plate protectant on the bonnet so should be ok.
Your thoughts folks?

G'day Mary, I don't have one myself; but a mate of mine has been running the Dolium one for years with the spare always on and he's never had any issues. He has checker plate too (not sure on thickness though).

Personally I just put a second spare on the roof rack when I need to take one. I don't like anything unnecessary in my field of vision when driving.
