Well I am finally road legal, now I'm a tad worried that the shovel, pick axe and axe on my bonnet may disappear when I get back to my vehicle.
Has anyone worked out a way of securing said items?

Never needed to have been driving around with all the ces for 5 or 6 years nothing has ever gone missing from the bonnet or tub I am a bit careful about where I park the s111 but not overly worried. The only person I know of who has had a part stolen was probably by another land rover owner at corowa this year and that makies it worse:(

G'Day Paultan.
I am near to a solution for both security of tools and the potential legal issues of bonnet protrusions. Keep an eye on the Verandah area here.

Never had any stolen from the front of my 101 and I park that in all sorts of places - for hours at a time. Never really thought about it until now though...

I have just overtightened mine with a pair of pliers. It just takes away the temptation from a spontaneous theft from someone undoing them by hand. If I need to I can get the pliers out for the toolbox.
