I don't think it's a matter of "my post count is higher than yours", I think it is a matter of people alerting the Forum Owner that there may be a problem.:)

yep,, a slow but sure rearrangement/rationalisation of Forums is underway.
the main complaint we get is how people just cant find anything---:angel:

There has been a couple of forums removed..such as cantina and soapbox which were lurking in the shadows where no one can see....

So my guess is a few of you obviously crapped on in there too much :p and now the sections have actually been deleted so have your posts that adornded it, hence the count dropping to accomodate :D

that said i had no idea how many i had to start with...

it's been an exercise in trying to get the system's layout to flow in a more user friendly manner so new folk have some chance of coping with the immensity of the place.

very few other land rover sites would sprawl as this one tends to.

i did post in the admin news area that there are changes afoot i believe..

and dont forget the system will go offline tomorrow when the servers are moved from pipe networks to the technology center over on the southside of brisvegas.

this may affect people in varying ways. seeing it isnt in a peering ix anymore many will now have aulro content adding to their quota for the first time.

hopefully the system will be faster for those that used isp's that had limited pipes into the ix.

I am down about 400 posts, as I only occasionally made posts in the Soapbox (didn't get involved in the crap in the Cantina) I am surprised.:o Oh well I guess the occasional post adds up after almost 5 years of being on the Forum.:)

Definitely does not explain my loss. I never even new the cantina existed. When I heard about it being deleted I had to ask some one what it was.

As for the soap box, I reckon I would have no more than half a dozen posts.

Running ok here. I would say about the same as it has been. (Except for the week Dave was away)

the only large forums areas deleted were the cantina and the old soapbox

some minor threads in the destinations area bit the bullet as well but there was only 250 odd posts in that area.

no great change here, but I blame my interslow for that.

two things I have noticed is that

when I open up a few threads at once so I can read them after they load less of them time out and
korgs pics (especially animated gif) load consistantly without me having to pop them into their own tab and then hitting refresh before coming back to them
