steering guards

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone knows what steering guards are compatible with the standard ARB winch deluxe bullbar? The bearmach and APT fabrications ones look alright.

APT advised me their guard is compatible with ARB, however i am waiting impatiently for their new Bar design before making a decision

I have ARB bar AND jate rings though... need a guard that uses different mounting holes to the bullbar/jate rings i think ...?

The Apt one, I will give him a rev tmw, it is not as heavy looking as arb & it should fit my super oscars (230 mm)

How does the bearmach guard compare? I know the metal is 1mm thinner compared to the APT guard, but does it still allow for the arb bullbar fitment?

yes they are. I ordered a APT last year and it didnt fit, so they redesigned them and gave me a new one. On my 2013 Defender with LR bar fitted at dealers.

From memory , there is a forum member making a nice guard that works with the ARB bar .

Anyone with any more ideas on this? Last trip a stick went between the coolant hoses. That's twice now so I'm thinking about this. MR have Bearmach ones.. not sure if they are compatible with the ARB bar.

Pretty sure APT one fits.....I brought one but it didn’t fit around my PTO winch.

RegardsI have an apt guard and arb bar. The arb bar needed very small modification so that the recovery rings on apt guard could receive a shackle..
