Does anyone know if there is a special dance you need to do to remove the headrests in a GS Perentie?
I've tried a little brute force to no avail, and I can't see anything to push in or pull out, so I was wondering if I am missing anything?
I want to put my new seat covers on!

Hi,

Brute force is the answer, they are held in by retaining spring clips on the end of the steel rods, be careful not to pull the foam head rest off the steel rods/uprights.

Probably the clips are rusted on as they wouldn't have been taken off for a very long time.

cheers

Scott, you were dead right. I checked the RPS and saw the spring. A small hit of RP7 and a solid tug, and they came off.
Then I realised I didn't have to remove them as the covers had a big hole in the top to fit over them :censored:
Anyway, all now done and looks good.
The new soft top goes on over the weekend.

At least yours has head rests! Mine doesn't have them, apart from that I find the seats very. comfortable on long journeys.

Thanks Scott and Jeepster!

I don't seem to have access to that part of the REMLR forum or the link is bad.

I'll go over there and have a look around and see what I can find.

Cheers,
JRW

Ahh. Yes. The bull bar threw me off. Haven't seen a TD5 with that model bar before.

Jeepster, thanks for the pics! They look great......

Can you let enquiring minds know the cost for those? You can PM me if you don't want to announce it in public

Cheers,
JRW

$165 per ser from Robco canvas. They came with the new soft top.
They are not cheap, but I'm still within my budget!

Is that a carpet dash mat I can see on the dash. If so who makes them and where can I source one. Seat covers look good too.
