RPM for td5

If towing in 4th gear over a long distance (TD5), At what What RPM do members think you should say thats enough so as not to abuse the motor. I normaly cap it at about 2500 but think I may be being a bit over protective.

If you have an oil temp gauge, go on that & the water temp & vary your revs accordingly..:)
