Hello,
There is a separate section all about P38A Range Rovers at http://www.aulro.com/afvb/p38a-range-rover/
It should have a fair bit of information about what to look out for and other owner's experiences.
To find the link click on the top left hand underscored line Australian Land Rover Owners and scroll down the main menu page until you find "Range Rovers". Then look across the Range Rover options until you find the P38A section. There are different threads of interest under this section.
Kind Regards
Lionel

Are you looking for a hobby or for a car to just get in and drive?

Welcome to the mad house that Rangie ownership is.:D
What is your budget mate? That will determine not only which year and model P38 you get but also in what condition it will be.

Actually, there's a couple of pertinent questions being asked
eg hobby vs drive? Budget?
Like most forums, you get a bit of banter, sometimes a lot of drivel, but in amongst all this you get some worthwhile answers and you learn a bit.
Welcome to Aulro. Be patient.
Get your answers...you will.

The help will come, we just like to chat a lot along the way.:)
There have been a couple of good suggestions to check out the P38 section - the people who frequent that section will answer all your questions.
Stick around for a chat, we're a good bunch when you get to know us.:)

They're normally not a car you can just hop in and drive without a concern in the world. However, if you like an occasional challenge & are prepared to get 'involved' with a P38 Range Rover, then one could well be the car for you.

G'day mate, jump over to the P38 section on this forum and have a read! There's already heaps of info at your disposal!
Best advice would be to get the newest one you can afford with the BEST service history.
A thorough inspection by a suitably qualified person is highly recommended!
I use a mob called "state roads". You can google them, great and very thorough inspections (and in no way affiliated with the government).
Also, Melbourne seems to be the place to buy from - generally the best examples come from there.
Cheers
Keithy
