Great story. Good to hear he still goes to the local pub, for a pint. He was involved in one of the operations during WW2 which enabled the Allies to crack the enigma code. A modern movie would have you believe The US Navy captured an enigma machine from a German U-Boat, but that was Hollywood fantasy. It was Bernard, & his mates of the R.N. Bob

I think Bernard is a bit of an unsung hero :cool:

We worked on the roof of "Bletchley Park" back in '79/80 I think it was, all a bit top secret you know :)
