Just saw another Thread on a new Lego model and rather than hyjack that Thread I thought I would start another one on a construction kit, made in Australia that I believe does not exist anymore.
Any body here old enough to remember the 1950's construction kit Bilda-Brix?? I had a kit when I was a kid and had a lot of fun building houses etc, with it.:)

REALLY!!!!:o You don't what you missed. The Bilda-Brix was my second favourite construction kit after my two Meccano kits.:)

Yep, red and white ricks, green cardboard for the roof and blue paper windows. If you had enough you could build a garage to house a vehicle made from meccano parts:D
The beauty of a meccano set was it developed mechanical competence and fine motor coordination skills... just the ticket for playing with Land Rovers;)

Hello from Brisbane.
Put up a post on these things back in February when someone was waxing lyrically about Lego.
Motto was "more than a toy" - really great stuff, but to give due credit, it was really a US product made locally under license with a different name.
Cheers,
