Reminds me of a classic Barry Sheen comment after a destroyed bike was being loaded in pieces onto a truck during practice at a 500GP race many years ago.

"It'll take more than a can of Auto Bright to get that back on the track"

This from Arthurs first link--

"Incredibly, the Audi team expects to have the car ready for action when the second day of practice and qualifying begins.
The plan is for the mechanics to work through the night to rebuild the extensively damaged car, which took off into the air and slammed into debris fencing roof-first."

Good luck to Mark Webber for the race :)

Although the last time Mark Webber tried to race at Le Mans, in 1999, his Mercedes CLR prototype viciously tried to kill him when his car literally took off and flipped nose over tail before crash-landing on its wheels.

Yet Webber bravely, or foolishly, got back into a CLR, intending to race. Then, on Saturday morning during the warm-up, the incredible happened: Webber's rebuilt car back-flipped on Mulsanne Straight, earning him more frequent flyer points.
Bizarrely, Mercedes allowed the two surviving CLRs to start and Peter Dumbreck's car flew into the trees during the race to end one of the more diabolical campaigns by a major manufacturer

It doesn't look like there is going to be any coverage on normal tv this year, which is rather disappointing if you are a fan of Le Mans Racing
