Hi all,

Need some assistance... feeling a little stupid. :(

I have been working out how to fold down the 2nd and 3rd row seats and have come to a stumbling block.

I can easily get mine to here:

But I have also seen images with the second row folded level with the back floor like this:

https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2014/06/737.jpg

I've read the manual. pushed and pulled every lever, strap and handle that I can find... but no go.

Is it possible mine does not fold down flat.... or can someone embarrass me further by giving me the simple solution I'm missing?

Cheers

Once in that position there are two straps, one front and one back of each seat. The back one allows it to just roll forward and the front strap you just pull it and then push the seat forward and it should slide flat.

I wouldn't think it would not be standard. Good luck.

Not sure if you know this but the cargo bling fits in the gap between the 2nd row & 3rd row seats. it has two lugs on the rear of the 2nd row seats that the blind slips onto with matching recepticles.

Its so handy having such a massive luggage space I've picked up a new dining table and washing machine and various other things people expected wouldn't fit in haha. Its a pretty hard strap to pull, as for the cargo blind thats sitting in the top of a cupboard i never use it in any car.

Thanks Pete!

Unfortunately previous owner didn't pass the cargo blind on.... so I'm on the lookout for one to suit an Ebony interior.

Also makes a good hiding spot for the "real" jack, jacking plate, tools, etc.

Pull the strap only to "unlock" the mechanism. And then with your other hand push down and forwards on the seat. It should glide downwards quite easily. - Matti

When we picked up the car our dealer showed us especially how to do that to the seats as you do need to pull hard, so don't feel too bad as I think they have received the same question themselves a few times.

I use a couple of pieces of 1.6mm sheet metal over the gap.I leave a gap each end,so you can reach in and grab things that are stored in the gap.I often strap things to the cargo barrier, such as camp chairs, camping table, etc, and was worried they would break or damage the cargo blind.

The cargo blind is in the shed, never been used, and no it isn't Ebony......

My cargo blind is "black" and it sits in the shed as I don't need it - PM me if you want it... I'm sure we can work something out...:)

Haha I was gonna say I've got a new ebony one to, but don't wanna sell it incase it needs to go with the car when I sell it. But I find it more of a pain than good.
