Ipad and emailing

I have an Ipad that does not have network access. However I have a wireless dongle which I connect to a Pendo hot spot unit. I can then connect the Ipad to the internet via wireless. My problem is that although I can receive emails, I cannot send. I get the message that the network doesn't recognize my email address. Any suggestions? Jim

I get this with bigpond email, will only send when connected through telstra sim/wifi, have to use webmail to send, even telstra could not work it out.

I should add that my email acct is with Telstra and my dongle is with Dodo

if you dongle is with dodo then you use dodo's outgoing mail server settings
