Hi guys,
Having some drama with my 2003 Defender and fear there may be a leak in the brake system.
There is a slow leak (>20ml) of what I suspect to be brake fluid that drips out when park up for the night. There is a noticeable intermittent reduction in pedal feel but it firms up again if I pump the brakes.
Has anyone had a similar issue? If so where's the best place to start looking?
Cheers

The leak could be unrelated to the soft peddle. Leaks look at the master cylinder and each wheel caliper to start. The soft peddle could be cracks in the booster, just near the bolts for the master cylinder.

Ok, have found a washer folded over on the break res cap... Repositioning the washer and tightening it gave me back a lot of feel, but I still have to "pump" the break pedal a bit on occasion to get good break feel.
Can anyone recommend a good rebuild manual? I've got some time off so will start fault finding
