Hello there,

My requirement is to replace my Disco 3's default CD system:
- doesnt have AUX-out pin
- doesn't have Bluetooth capability
- can't play MP3 (only Audio CDs)

I want something that allows me to make/receive phone calls using BlueTooth and is capable of reading MP3 too.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks BSM - I did do some research around all the music systems that the local auto part dealers have in store. I was wondering if there are any brand preferences that I need to keep in mind as I will be replacing the original system from the car.

Cheers.

I wanted the same as you but rather than change the stereo complete went for one of these Panel Mount Bluetooth Receiver with Microphone - Jaycar Electronics (http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=AR3129)

I found the guides to dash removal and wiring here on AULRO and connected it to the standard sound system (Disco 3 SE). Sound quality, I think, is excellent. Connects automatically to the phone when I start the car and starts playing music from my phone (Galaxy S3 using Poweramp app)

Thought it looked pretty good too with the collar removed and installed just behind the handbrake handle/switch.
