I have just looked under our D3 to find that the shaft end going into transfer box is stuffed. Rubber is split.

My understanding is that it's unserviceable.

Anyone played with these at all?

Otherwise it's time to spend some money on it. Diffs and all will need to looked closely at.

Thanks

Chris

I had the same issue, as it turns out, I also had a little oscillation when running.

I was able to order one here, but saved the old one to have rebuilt. A couple of folks I have talked to have had them rebuilt at a drive shaft shop, it might be worth a try.

Here's a couple of places that look like they have the equipment to do it.

SYDNEY DRIVELINE SERVICE (http://www.sydneydriveline.com/)
Driveshaft ? Tailshaft ? Repairs Perth| Driveshaft Balancing Services (http://www.driveshaftbalancingservices.com.au/)

If it's not too bad, perhaps it will last until there is stock again. If nothing else I can help get you a drop ship from SA.

Looks like I will order from England as it's $300 cheaper.

Thanks for the help as I will probably get the old one rebuilt.

Do Hardy Spicer rebuild these shafts? They have parts for a lot of variants.

Why not contact TRS in Adelaide? They are Landrover wreckers and may be able to help. Ask for Phil: (08) 8384 6933 and info@triumphroverspares.com.au
