Kaymar and trailer part 2

OK, here's another one for 1 week after my Kaymar bar got fitted.

With my trailer hitched up, when I shut any door or tailgate, the indicators on the trailer only (not the car) come on for half a second.....

Can anyone explain that?

Disco is checking to see if a trailer is attached so that it can warn you if someone tries to knock your trailer off.

Lock car then pull the trailer plug....Alarm will sound. Does the same on my Touareg.
