Hi Guys

I notice that there are two types of RX Super. One just called RX super with a rating of API CI-4+ and the other RX Super Diesel rated at API CH-4. I have read somewhere that the CH-4 rating is better for older engines since CI-4 may clean too much. Which is best for a Perentie 4x4 or doesn't it matter?

Thanks

There is only one RX Super, however there is also:
RX Diesel
RX Max
RX J-Max
RX Plus
RX Mono (2 variants)

I have only ever used RX Super. Some places (e.g. supercheap) advertise it as RX Super Diesel.

My last employer had used RX for twenty years in its heavy vehicle fleet,, then one day upt and changed to
Engine Oil - Truck & Bus Products | Castrol Australi | Products | Home (http://www.castrol.com/en_au/australia/products/truck-and-bus/engine-oils.html)

Thanks for the advice guys.

I've just bought a 20 litre drum of RX Super for $98 so all's well.

Cheers
