The tyres on the car were getting little low in tread, between 2-4mm left.
So I thought it would be a good idea to get some new boots.

Just went and checked the pressures that the guys put in them.. 50psi all round . bloody hell.. way to much.

Whats the consensus on pressures fr and bk. Am thinking 36 fr and 38 bk.

Live semi rural,so will be those pressures be ok or a little more.

Thanks

cheers

depends on the tyre. I find the Michis like it a bit higher 42-44, I'm not sure what the duelers like.

I run 40 in the front and 42 at the back, but that is on 20"'road tyres. Find I get a better wear pattern with a few more PSI in them.

Why not use the 4psi rule to work out what pressures suit your vehicle, your load, your road conditions and your driving style?

I dropped them down to 37 front 40 rear. Much better ride now,not as harsh..
Will try that for a couple of weeks and might try 40 fr 44 rear and see how I go with that.

Thanks guys

I have 265 x 18's Continental "road " tyres; very good handling and ride on road; OK in wet black soil; never slipped at all in snow/ice! that was surprising.
Usual running is just me and 100-150kg junk in back: 36-38psi f & R
Heavier loads/holidays-- 3-4 adults, full to brim luggage: 38 fr and 42 back

Tyres seem to be wearing evenly across the tread

19 inch wheels on ours with Pirelli tyres. I run at 40 psi all 'round. Wear seems to be even.
