One of my brothers has the D800,uses it for work and loves it.
For me it is the cannon 5DMk3.
The other day i had to use the old 60D,as SWMBO was using the 5D.
Until you go back to using the old model, you forget how good the later models are.

Would be nice (the Nikon 810) but I'm afraid its way out of my budget.....(sigh).:(
Guess I'll have to stick with my Nikon D5100. Which, incidently I am very happy with.:) I kind of like the Nikon Df though, it reminds me of the Nikon FM2 film camera I used to use all those years ago.:)
Wonder why the Df hasn't got video capabilities though????

Having had a D800e for over a year now the D810 would only improve on it. There are only two issues: you need to be use good lenses, you really notice a poor lens on these cameras and secondly you need stability so a tripod or monopod gets a lot more use. I'm not upgrading but I'd definitely recommend getting one.

I recently received a mail flyer from a local camera store introducing it and offering "a special introductory deal". I looked at the price and thought the deal needs to be a lot more special. Bloody hell, aren't they expensive.

Unfortunately that's the way it is with full frame cameras.:(

I wish..... but not likely this year.
Interesting ..... its actually cheaper through my regular camera shop here in Melbourne (Vanbar) than the grey importers at the moment!
After buying the Discover 4 last month.... I think $3600 on a camera body, might be like a declaration of war with the ministry of finance...

My rules are:
First good lens
Second a good tripod & head
Third select the body with the money left after purchasing the lens and tripod/head.
