NISSAN TD 27 INTO SERIES 2A LANDROVER

Gday all..iam after any info regarding a nissan td27 conversion into a series 2a LWB using the landy gearbox..has anyone seen or done one out there?

It's popular conversion over here in South Africa.

The TD27 is indirect mechanical injection. But I've heard of very few problems with the pre-combustion chambers and the cylinder heads.

I had 2 or 3 and apart from blatant abuse, they're pretty robust.

A mate of mine runs his on anything oily.

M&D engineering in the UK sells a conversion kit for about AU$700.

ive just machined up the spigot adaptor and re drilled the nissan flywheel to suit the landy clutch..but iam now wondering if the sump will have to be modified to fit around the front prop shaft?
