So have found a nice large roll of rubber that I am going to put on the floor of my disco shop I can remove the tired worn carpet.
Also have some insulation to go underneath so this is gonna be my project over next little bit.
As these are flat sheets and not pre moulded it's going to be a little bit tricky bit i guess if i take my time out should turn out good.
The rubber is quite pliable and only 1.5mm thick so should be able to make it fit around the curves quite well

Wondering if anyone has any experience and tips for laying flat sheets into the floor instead of using moulded flooring

i havent done any work like that before, but working with a bit of rubber at home, ive found that a little heat can go a long way.

I've only done this on a Series vehicle so no curves just a flat floor.

I used cereal packets which I cut out, stickytaped bits back, cut out again then when I was happy with the 'fit' the shape was transferred to the rubber matting so I didn't waste too much.

Best of luck.

Thanks for both of those tips and yes I have already thought of both of them I currently have a mountain of cardboard boxes I am going to use for templates and a mate is letting me borrow their heat gun
