Hi Folks,

I am soon going to install Llams to my D4, and i was thinking of putting the control knob into the steering column. But my driving light switch is currently there.

Pondering ideas, I am wondering about moving the driving light switch to the light control panel - maybe slightly to the left of where the Redarc LED is in this image (not mine btw.)

Any thoughts on location or advice on how to get into that panel?

Cheers,

I have one of these mouse style switches which emerges from the join between the dash plastic panels and is fixed with the removable 3M Velcro patches just to the right of the steering column below the instrument panel.

It doesn't look as integrated but the advantage is no holes etc and it is easily removable to return to original. Works well there.

Gday mate...

Theres no room behind that blank section for a switch in that open space in the pic you posted

I have done a little bit of work for mine...
The Llams is on left side of steering column, the Red Arc going on the right and then this is how I've dealt with the Driving Lights, LED bar and Traxide controller.

The lower switch pulses as per Traxides factory set up, the upper 2 illuminate when active.

Can barely notice them during the day (As in looks factory - illumination is clear)

Cost of switches, plugs and wire... Around $20.00

Thanks Tombie!

Thats brilliant, I feared there may be very little space behind that.

I'm trying to keep things as tidy and stock looking as possible, but Have a Redarc controller driving lights, Llams and soon Traxide to fit in as well.... so something like this would work really well for me :)

Appreciate the help...

My driving light switch is in the same spot. Here's a picture.

How easy difficult is it to wire up driving lights. is there a guide here somewhere? a search for lights brings up a lot of hits.
I was thinking of the rigid lights with their "plug and Play" wiring. I don't know how they create a plug in for every vehicle.

I saw the manual for installing the LR factory lights and that looked complicated. Where do you pick up the High bean connection?
