G'day,

I was wondering if I could get some advice on a radiator for a 200tdi. I am in the middle of a rebuild and I took the old radiator to get tested and I was told it's blocked badly, do you think it is possible to put a v8 radiator in? Would it effect the engine temp so much that I should be concerned? I'm doing away with the stock intercooler and have gone for a larger front mount so this should restrict the air a bit therefore helping keep it a little warmer. Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Chris.

It's cost effective to get the radiator opened and rodded out to unblock it. Unless it's corroded through of course.

A v8 radiator would then need a front mount intercooler which is a good thing. Have you looked into td5 radiators and intercoolers?

Many are concerned about the front ac fans preventing a front mount fitting. The solution there is to fit decent thermoelectric fans behind the radiator and remove the fans in front. Better airflow and better cooling.
