Fresh from the uk by DHL this morning :-)
1st job activatation... Sorted, very easy and straight forward
2nd job... Update firmware, easy... But now I plug it into the car and nothing :-( nothing on the display, no voltage, or IID ready, nothing :-(
Any suggestions.. I'm waiting for support to email me back, but interested if anyone knows how to get it back again....

My random suggestions are ... failed firmware update or faulty device or (unlikely) damaged obd2 port on the vehicle. Assume you've tried jiggling it around in the port ? Is the LED on the device on ? Those Gap guys will sort you out quickly I'm sure.

I updated mine to the latest firmware last week - no problem with it, all works fine after the update.
Can you load the firmware again. It did take a while to complete the update ~15 minutes. How long is your update procedure taking?

Hi..
Are you talking about the update on the PC? That took about 5 minutes..
When plugged back into the car nothing !!! I pressed a couple of buttons on the wheel and all I managed to get was a blue flashing led on the iid... I left it flashing for 5 minutes just in case but still nothing :-(
Any other suggestions as the Gap guys haven't replied yet...

Yeah, I'm talking about it updating on the PC as it loads the new firmware on to the device.
My memory was it took more than 5 minutes to reflash the device. Maybe my recollection of it is slightly wrong. What I was getting at is, are you sure the firmware update was completed successfully because it tool much longer than I was expecting when mine updated.
If you get nothing on the dash display can you get anything on your phone? Have you installed the 'app' on your phone to communicate with the device via bluetooth?

I've never needed to, but there is a recommendation to turn the entertainment system off.
Also when you plug it in, do you get the voltage display in the screen between the speedo and tachometer? If so, press the Cruise Control Resume key (I think; I use the iPad so press the right arrow key) to enter the menu.
