It might be a bit trivial but when I bought my 2013 Defender 110 the black flares were shiny but not greasy....now they're matte...anyone know how to make them shiny (but not greasy) again?
Thanks :-)

UV light affects the plastic.
Armourall or a similar product will restore the original look.

Sounds like u might have a new vehicle warranty claim...Had heaps of them on the generals sb barina's wheel arch flares going matte, caused by our warm sunshine . (Where is it now????) brrrrrr:dbcry:

Armorall as mentioned, however there are also various plastic dyes that will have it looking like new for longer:

I have used this one before on landie external plastic parts and it works well.

You could also try just a bit of straight silicone fluid, which is what's in Armorall. Will make them shiny and black, but shouldn't leave them greasy, although because it will make them very slippery, it may seem as though it's greasy.
It'll also keep them fairly clean looking too. It's good stuff for under your car as well, helps stop mud etc sticking to everything, and come wash time, it'll come up looking like new again.

Car places sell stuff called bumper black, it is to restore plastic bumpers, flares are just bumpers put on side ways:D

Until you have a bingle and then the crash shop will struggle to get it off to repair :)

like those rich Yankee Ranchers with the bull horns nailed to the hood ( bonnet for us in Oz):p Actually I could envisage you Chops with a Big Boar head mounted head on to your bull bar.:wasntme:
