In part 4 of my TGM120 log book it looks like some really big jobs were conducted at "BAE CR" in around 2009 when the odometer was just below 64000km. I bought the car with just under 66,000km.
According to the log book it went into BAE CR three services in a row for a total of 64.9 hours work. All the other times, regular service work was conducted at 2CDO or 4RAR which I assume is the everyday workshop at the base?
Jobs at BAE were:
1) Replace/Repair rear main oil seal and clutch (15.5 hours)
2) Repair/Replace Gearbox, engine breather clamps, ???... Drive axle caps, headlight switch, steering column shrouds (24.5 hours) NOTE: My gearbox looks brand new with yellow numbers written on it.
3) Repair/Replace Transmission, Engine breather clamps, front grease caps, headlight switch, steering column shrouds, Battery (24.7 hours) NOTE: My transmission looks brand new
Here's my questions:
Q1. What was BEA and why would BEA do big jobs?
Q2. Looking at the hours spent on the vehicle does it make sense that I'd have a new clutch, gearbox and transmission?
Q3. Why would BEA repeat exactly the same two jobs, e.g. steering column shrouds, headlight switch in a 7 day period?
